Tanesha Williams is an attorney, educator, strategist, and movement lawyer whose work sits at the intersection of education, civil rights, community advocacy, and systems change. She currently serves as Founder and Principal of Redtree Strategies, where she helps organizations navigate leadership, compliance, and organizational culture in complex social and political environments.

Tanesha later earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she focused on criminal defense, racial justice, and public interest advocacy. Throughout her legal career, she has worked across voting rights, criminal justice reform, equity and inclusion, and movement-building spaces, including roles with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Families Against Mandatory Minimums (FAMM), and the Democratic National Committee, where she served as Counsel and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She also earned an LL.M. in International and National Security Law from Georgetown University Law Center in 2025.
A proud Southern leader and advocate, Tanesha’s work is grounded in the belief that lasting systemic change requires both legal strategy and community power.
