Maryam Diaab, JD, MA
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Maryam Diaab and her family have been residents of the Baton Rouge area since 2010. She arrives at Loyola New Orleans University College of Law as a first-generation law student after serving 20 years as a teacher, administrator, and student-athlete academic coach. Through her career in education and as a mother of two neurodivergent children, her interest in education law ignited. She aims to work in education litigation and special education student advocacy, assisting students, parents, teachers, and schools in obtaining and providing a diverse, equitable education. Maryam chose Loyola Law because of its focus on diversity and inclusion and its commitment to creating practice-ready lawyers.
