Danita Nash, JD, MPA

Danita Davis Nash, a native of New Orleans, returned to the community in 2012 to start her career as a Behavioral Mentor at a school where there were no more second chances. Throughout her eleven years in education she has obtained a variety of experiences and expertise. She has served in several New Orleans Charter Schools, as a Behavioral Mentor, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal of Culture both in lower and upper secondary levels. Her background does not only include culture techniques and strategies, but special education, structures, teachings, support services, implementation and students rights advocacy. Danita Nash was not just an advocate for others, she was also an advocate for her daughter who was denied access to a free appropriate education due to her Specific Learning Disorder. Danita holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Southern University of Baton Rouge, a Masters in Management and Public Administration from University of Phoenix and is a graduate of Loyola New Orleans College of Law class of 2026. Danita currently works as a Legal Assistant where continues to fight for the rights of others. Danita enjoys spending time with family, being a mother, a wife, shopping, watching movies, traveling and self care.
